What’s good in the neighbourhood?
This site, at Avenue and Lonsdale, just a few blocks north of St. Clair West, is a hidden gem. Mature and leafy, it’s still within walking distance of shops, cafes and supermarkets on St. Clair West, and steps to the quaint, small-town-style Forest Hill Village. There you can find an abundance of eclectic eateries, services, fitness studios and art galleries, bordered to the west by a lush ravine.
This ravine system is one of Forest Hill’s biggest attractions and features acres of wooded walking trails. Popular with joggers, dog walkers or just those who want to revel in nature’s beauty, it’s a great place to start your morning or spend a weekend afternoon with the family.
Though Forest Hill has been increasingly attracting young professionals -thanks to its proximity to the burgeoning upscale commercial hub at Yonge and St. Clair – it’s also a fabulous family neighbourhood. Parks, recreation centres and some of the city’s most reputable elementary and secondary schools are all nearby.
At this new condo building, the 24-hour St. Clair streetcar is just a few blocks south and is just a few minutes’ ride to both St. Clair and St. Clair West subway stations, making great transit just the icing on the cake for this Midtown neighbourhood.
