Klein Taylor Goldsmith and Curtner Brown Architects merged to form Quadrangle in June 1986. Hugh Taylor, Philip Goldsmith, Brian Curtner, and Leslie M. Klein were the firm’s founding partners. Over time, what began as a small, closely-held corporation developed into a multi-shareholder company. Quadrangle joined BDP in 2019 and became BDP Quadrangle in 2020. BDP Quadrangle is a major architectural, design, and urbanism firm in Canada. Based in Toronto, Canada, their expertise includes mixed-use, residential, workplace, retail, transportation, media settings, education, and health. The company is now a 36-year-old practice well-known in North America for its design, commercial sense, and ethics.
The company made a considerable contribution to Toronto’s multi-unit residential housing market. Their downtown Toronto studio is home to over 200 strategic thinkers that share a love for design, sustainable innovation, and project delivery. BDP Quadrangle now employs 1,300 employees and operates from local studios on three continents.
