BLTA

BLTA, or Béque Legault Thuot Architects, is a Montreal, Quebec, Canada-based architecture company founded in 1970. The business is led by three partners: Olivier Legault, Denis C. Blais, and Cyr Beauchemin, with founding partners Gilles Thuot and Jacques Béque still active. “Le Cerisaie,” Quebec’s first condominium building, was developed and designed in 1971. They took part in the city of Montreal’s first public consultation in 1990. Over the last decade, BLTA has completed approximately 2 million square feet of commercial space and more than 5,000 residential units in the greater Montreal metropolitan region.
BLTA prides itself on its innovative, conceptual approach. The firm provides integrated, complementary services in architecture, interior design, computer graphics and imaging, and so on. BLTA is one of the most active architecture companies in downtown Montreal, with competence in high-rise construction, building envelopes, historical restoration, and sustainable development approaches. The firm is now run by its second generation of partners. It mainly serves private clients in the commercial, residential, and hotel sectors. BLTA has approximately 5 million square feet of office space, including numerous head offices, housing units, and has extensive expertise in residential and commercial architecture. Several of its high-profile projects, notably in downtown Montreal, have helped to redefine market expectations. Source: BLTA
