Two Row Architect

Two Row Architect is an architecture and planning company headquartered in Ohsweken that was founded in 1992. The name “Two Row Architect” was chosen to reflect the firm’s unique nature. They are 100% native-owned and operated from the Six Nations reserve in Southern Ontario. In keeping with tradition and to reflect community values, the search for a name was referred to Reg Henry, a renowned Cayuga Faith keeper and linguist. Following several discussions with Reg, the focus was shifted to architectural terms as interpreted by the native language, as well as the meaning these carried from their traditional roots. The final choice of Two Row was drawn from a weave of beads known as the ‘Two Row Wampum’.
Two Row is made up of a talented and diverse collection of people who enjoy what they do. The team has expertise in architecture, master planning, 3D visualization, cultural planning, interior design, urban design, and indigenous design. Their primary goal is to guide mainstream ways of thinking on their journey toward Indigenous ways of knowing, being, designing, and architecture. Their long-term goal is to promote architecture that benefits nature, humanity, and their current sense of civilization. Source: Two Row Architect
