BDP Quadrangle

BDP Quadrangle is one of Canada’s leading architecture, design and urbanism practices. Based in Toronto, Canada, their expertise spans designing for the full spectrum of the built environment including mixed-use, residential, workplace, retail, transit, media, education and health.

They are the North American headquarters of BDP, which was founded in 1961 in the UK as an interdisciplinary design resource. Today, BDP comprises 1,300 people, operating from local studios across three continents. Transcending its growth, the studio’s philosophy has remained the same: to work as a multidisciplinary collective, applying knowledge and expertise to create ambitious projects at every scale.

Quadrangle, a 35-year old practice well-known in North America for its design, business sense and integrity, joined BDP in 2019 and became BDP Quadrangle in 2020. Our 200-person studio strives to create places that foster wellbeing, inclusivity and sustainable futures.

Recent projects

Theatre District Residences and RIU Hotels and Resorts
Featuring two towers of 48 and 49 storeys each, the Theatre District Residences development offers condominiums and a hotel in the heart of Toronto’s world-class Entertainment District. The project integrates a row of six heritage townhouses on Widmer Street and reinforces the warehouse character of the area with two robust 11-storey podiums and slender elegant towers above

Enigma on the Park
A mixed-use project bordering on an urban green space, Enigma on the Park includes artist studios and galleries, 90 residential units and an aesthetically striking exterior that evokes dynamic movement. Enigma on the Park gives life to a previously contaminated site adjacent to a rail corridor and located in designated employment lands, creating new energy, renewal and growth in a stable, desirable neighbourhood.

55 Yonge Street
In the heart of Toronto’s financial district, directly adjacent to King Station on the TTC’s Yonge line, 55 Yonge is a landmark 66-storey residential and office tower. The building will include nearly 500 new residential units and state-of-the-art offices that will respond to Toronto’s rapid growth, while achieving a cohesive and contemporary high-rise design that makes a striking addition to Toronto’s skyline.
