Citywalk towns is located in a highly convenient area of Pickering. A number of services and retail outlets, including Lowe’s Home Improvement, Walmart, Moore’s Clothing for Men, LCBO, No Frills, ToysRUs, PetSmart and many more are all within a 15 minute walk. Six minutes away by car, meanwhile is Pickering Town Centre, a shopping mall with over 200 retail stores, including a Saks Fifth Avenue, as well as a Cineplex Cinemas, Winners & Homesense, and many more.

A great deal of Pickering’s local facilities can be found within a very short distance. Places like Pickering City Hall, Pickering Public Library, as well as two higher learning institutions – Durham College and Centennial College Pickering Campus.

The area is also surrounded by many parks and green spaces. Diana Princess of Wales Park, to the East, features plenty of green space, pathways, a basketball court, a ball-hockey court, a skateboard park and community gardens. Brock Ridge Community Park and West Duffins Creek to the north offer other escapes into nature for the family, and to the East, residents will find Annandale Golf and Curling Club, just a short drive away.

Families will be happy to know that many great schools are nearby, with Glengrove Public School, Blaisdale Montessori School, Pickering High School, Pine Ridge Secondary, and many more all very close by.

Transit Options

Being in such a centralized location makes Citywalk a very convenient place to live. Only a seven-minute drive will bring residents to the Pickering Go Train Station. Commuters will find it easy to reach the downtown core by way of the GO Train commuter rails in short order.


Also nearby is the Pickering Parkway Terminal – with five Durham Region bus routes at this station. Citywalk is also very close by to the Highway 401, residents of Citywalk face short, manageable commutes into the city, and with connections to Northbound highways like Highway 12, the 404, and the 400, trips up north to Barrie, the Kawartha Lakes, and the “cottage country” of the Muskokas is easy.

The area is prime for transit options, and these options are only going to grow, with a new airport planned for the area. Estimates currently place the new airport at an operational date of sometime in 2027.
