Cadillac Fairview Corporation

Cadillac Fairview Corporation, one of Canada’s most significant developers, is an internationally focused owner, operator, investor, and developer of best-in-class real estate in retail, commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed-use asset classes. Cadillac Fairview’s story began more than 60 years ago in Toronto, when three friends, Eph Diamond, Joseph Berman, and Jack Kamin, started their own construction company. While they couldn’t agree on a name for their new company at first, the three finally found inspiration in Kamin’s car, a Cadillac, which became the company’s namesake.
Their timing was perfect since it was the baby boom era in North America, and people needed places to live. They started building apartment buildings in Guelph and included numerous unique features that are now standard in residential towers. Exercise rooms, underground parking, and individually adjustable heating and air conditioning controls are among these amenities. These are things that we take for granted in modern urban living, but they were not so in the 1950s!
Cadillac Fairview Corporation invests in communities throughout the world with like-minded partners such as Stanhope in the United Kingdom, Lincoln Property Company in the United States, and Multiplan in Brazil. The company’s Canadian portfolio includes 68 major buildings, including the Toronto-Dominion Centre, CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Tour Deloitte, CF Carrefour Laval, CF Chinook Centre, and CF Pacific Centre. CF’s purpose is to transform areas for a vibrant tomorrow, and it is always aiming to have a positive influence in the communities where it operates by fostering social connection, growth, and a sustainable future.
