Real estate development is at the heart of District Group’s operations. With decades of experience across various asset classes in key western Canadian markets, including residential, industrial, and retail land development, as well as transit-oriented mixed-use projects and high-rise residential and office buildings, District’s expertise is extensive. Their primary focus is on purpose-built low- and mid-rise rental residential developments, often combined with retail and office spaces where appropriate, while placing strong emphasis on market housing in major markets. District oversees projects from start to finish, managing every stage of the development process—from due diligence, financing, and municipal approvals to design programming, construction management, marketing, sales, and leasing. Currently, the company has 18 projects in development, including over 3,000 residential units, 200 acres of industrial property, and 120,000 square feet of office and retail space, with a total project value exceeding $1 billion.
