Michael Klugmann founded Firmland as a continuation of his family's historical success in the Greater Toronto Area residential community development and delivery. Michal was the previous CEO of Lindvest High-Rise and H&R Construction Management, where he oversaw the design and construction of award-winning, neighborhood-transforming landmark buildings. By way of H&R Developments, he is a third-generation builder whose roots in the industry date back to the 1950s.

Firmland's management team handled the building of almost 1,500 single-family houses, condos, and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.
