Kaneff Group

Kaneff Corporation has been operating in the Greater Toronto Area for over half a decade. This development firm is inextricably linked to the story of its founder, Ignat Kaneff. Ignat, a Bulgarian immigrant, worked hard to realize his American dream. His development company has grown into a local behemoth, and it appears that they are capable of doing anything and everything in the development industry. Ignat has demonstrated his gratitude for his success by becoming a generous contributor to a number of charities throughout the GTA.
Since its inception, Kaneff Corporation has built a reputation for innovative design, premium building materials, unrivaled craftsmanship, and a preference for projects with large open spaces. Because of this reputation, Ignat has been able to pursue nearly every avenue in the real estate industry. He has constructed a wide range of residential structures, including detached homes, townhouses, high-rise condos, and apartments. His commercial venture began in 1976 when he began construction for retail and office clients. This was another chance for him to broaden his knowledge, and his company is now capable of developing, building, and managing their own properties. They also have their own leasing and management team.
Ignat’s perseverance has paid off. He is now regarded as one of the GTA’s founding developers. He has received an honorary Doctor of Law degree from the University of Toronto, the Mississauga and Brampton Businessman of the Year Awards, the Mississauga Citizen of the Year Award, the Order of Ontario, the Order of Canada, and the BILD Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition to all of these honors, Ignat Kaneff has twice received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award for his charitable efforts. In 1986, he established the Kaneff Charitable Foundation. This has become a vehicle for donating to various Toronto causes, including Community Living Mississauga, the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, the University of Toronto in Mississauga, and the Osgoode Law School building campaign. He also hosts an annual charity golf tournament that has raised over $1 million. Source: Kaneff Group
