Gord’s journey into homebuilding began as a teenager, working on his father’s construction sites, gaining invaluable hands-on experience that shaped his understanding of the building process. After earning an architectural degree from Ryerson University, Gord designed and built his first home in Scarborough in 1961. By the 1970s, as the business expanded, he transitioned from acquiring individual lots to developing entire parcels of land, solidifying Mason Homes’ position as a full-service builder and developer.
