Since its founding, the DCR/Phoenix Group of Companies has produced almost 7,000 serviced homes in the Ottawa region. In addition to developing property for its own purposes, the firm offers serviced lots to builders in Ottawa. DCR/Phoenix is renowned for its large product range, which consists of infill sites, regular subdivisions, and estate lots. Since 1997, DCR/Phoenix has built almost 5,000 houses in Ottawa and the surrounding region. As seen by its famed single, town, stacked town, bungalow, semi-detached, and apartment residences, the company’s original design and ideas have profoundly impacted the appearance of Canada’s capital city.
In 2003, DCR/operations Phoenix expanded to include restaurant and retail buildings. Today, the company’s portfolio comprises various shopping centers and residential buildings. Current and future plans are similarly exciting and diversified, including a 1,200,000-square-foot mixed-use complex at 801 Albert Street, more than one thousand residential units, and a variety of retail activities around the Ottawa area. 2005 saw DCR/entry Phoenix’s into the hardwood and granite supply industries in response to the increasing demand for natural materials. Exclusive rights to granite mines in India and Brazil, as well as state-of-the-art CNC cutting equipment for fabrication, ensuring the best quality of the company’s granite; a vast warehouse and manufacturing facility handle both granite and hardwood supplies.
In the spring of 2011, Phoenix Homes introduced the most innovative Green Tech house yet to Ottawa. It used every feasible Green Technology and even experimental apparatus. Since its completion, this residence has served as the sales hub for the Heritage Hills development and attracted hundreds of visitors. Through a new partnership with Carleton University students, DCR/Phoenix continues to work on Green Technology for homes and Sustainable housing design. DCR/Phoenix has enhanced its manufacturing process and introduced the first fully integrated wireless Enterprise software solution in Canada. It will link all physical components of the organization, including sales, the headquarters, field offices, and contractors, to a single software solution, allowing speedier information processing with fewer mistakes.
