Duke Condo

A low-rise condo at Toronto

DUKE Condos (named for its position at Dundas and Keele Streets) is one of Toronto‘s first contemporary additions to the Junction. It diversifies, intensifies, and reignites the Junction. Duke is an eye-catching 8-storey low-rise condominium located at 2803 Dundas Street West in Toronto. The construction was finished in 2017.

DUKE, designed by TAS and built by BDP Quadrangle Architects, is a bold gesture that introduces a modern sensibility to the vintage neighborhood while respecting and complementing the existing cityscape. The ‘eroded’ white brick façade of the buildings along Dundas Street West generates contextual datum lines that address the varied heights and proportions of the neighboring structures while also anticipating connections with future ones.

Highlights

Neighborhood

It is literally called for its position on Dundas Street West (DU) and Keele Street (KE), and it adds modern design to a historic and lively area. Every corner, every store, and every restaurant in the Junction exudes a strong feeling of community, and Duke was deliberately built to match this particular local environment. The Junction, which is now a centre for alternative culture and homegrown businesses, has experienced a significant transition in recent years and has now reached the venerable stage when gleaming new condos will soon grace its streets.

Education

Another reason this location is appealing, particularly to families and children, is the abundance of schools in the neighborhood. Lucy McCormick Senior School, High Park Alternative Junior School, and The Great Lakes College of Toronto are all neighboring schools.

Outdoor

Furthermore, for families who enjoy outdoor activities, the town is close to a number of excellent parks and leisure facilities, including Baird Park, Carlton Park, and High Park. All of which include beautiful green areas and playgrounds for kids and the young at heart.

Transportation

The Duke Condos has a perfect Walk Score of 98, making it simple for residents to do errands on foot!

The development has a good public transit system. Despite the fact that there are only two local rail stations (Bloor Go and Unionville GO), there are at least six bus stops within walking distance. If you prefer to go by car, the 404 and 407 Highways can readily take you to your preferred location.
