On adjacent Terry Fox Drive, Huntmar Drive, or Hazeldean Road, you’ll find well-established shopping for life’s essentials and more. You’re also close to the shops on Stittsville Main Street. You’ll pass through the Bell Sensplex and have a fantastic glimpse of the Canadian Tire Centre if you drive to Fairwinds along Maple Grove Road.


The Tanger Outlet Mall, with more than 75 stores, is located across the Queensway from that monument. It is also close to shopping at Centrum Plaza.



Children will enjoy learning because post-secondary, secondary, and elementary schools are all within a short drive. Stittsville Public School, A. Lorne Cassidy Elementary School, A. Lorne Cassidy Intermediate School (7-8) , Kanata Academy Private School and many more.




The outdoor experience in Fairwinds West is fantastic as it is close to parks, variety of shops and activities. One of the parks that is close to the area is the Walter Baker Park. A dog walker’s dream, with meandering trails around little ponds and a gazebo to rest in this well-kept oasis off Terry Fox. A clean playground with a splash pad for the kids.


In the winter, there is a large toboggan slope for both children and adults. This location is in the Orleans neighborhood in Ottawa. Nearby parks include Cardinal Farms Park, Barnabe and Yves Richer Park.



The 261 bus (Stittsville Main) stops at 33 different locations between Tunney’s Pasture B and Stittsville Main / Maple Grove. It’s even easier to get around with local access to Terry Fox Drive, Highway 417, and public transportation.


1776 Maple Grove Road has a Walk Score of 32 out of 100. This location is a Car-Dependent neighborhood so most errands require a car. We have multiple connection buses running on weekdays to zip workers downtown and back during rush hour, in addition to main feeder routes 61 and 62. The 162 runs during off-peak hours to transport people to and from Kanata Centrum.
