Since 1999, Johnson Chou Inc has developed into an interdisciplinary design practice encompassing architectural and industrial design, furniture and interiors, graphic identity and corporate communications – a body of work characterized by conceptual explorations of narrative, transformation and multiplicity.

The creation of a narrative forms the conceptual point of departure for all of the firms work and is essentially a story inspired by the client. Be it about the quirks of the client, an image they wish to project, or even delved from a literary source, it is an interpretation of the client image, culture or brand what the firm likes to describe as narratives of inhabitation.

Penthouse at Century Candy Factory
Situated in a turn of the century candy factory, this 2700 SF loft penthouse suite was one of Toronto’s first residential adaptive re-use projects of it’s kind. Reinvented as the “Candy Factory Lofts” the building is an anchor in a neighborhood that has evolved into the vibrant and bohemian “West Queen West” Arts District.

High-rise condo in Toronto

155 Redpath Condos, situated at 155 Redpath Avenue in midtown Toronto, is a new condo building by two well-known developers, Freed Developments and Capital Developments.

The building is a 36-storey high-rise with 470 units that range in size from 377 to 1,500 square feet. The project was finished in 2017.
