Lissoni New York Studio
Established in 2015, Lissoni New York moved to its new studio at 79 Mercer Street in New York City’s SoHo in 2019. Setting up shop in the quintessential New York neighborhood known as a hub for design innovation and creativity was essential for Lissoni when it was looking for its new home. Residing on one of SoHo’s signature cobblestone streets, the 2,500 square foot creative studio is home based to Lissoni architects and designers working on a portfolio of projects throughout the Americas. The open office plan with an abundance of natural light and space offers up the perfect environment for both inspiration and collaboration.

The interiors dialogue gracefully with the surrounding architecture. A flowing continuity between inside and outside is already evident from the entrance that is immersed in dense and rich vegetation, gently accompanying visitors into the building. The public areas of the residential tower find inspiration in the forms and styles of Brazilian modernism reinterpreted in a contemporary key and related through the careful use of colours and materials, such as local woods and stones, which accentuate the sophisticated atmospheres. The project includes the entrance lobby, a large library and lounge overlooked by a sculpture made of woven wood, a gym with a Pilates area and indoor pool in dark stone, a Spa containing a sauna, steam room and ice pool, and a beauty salon for residents.
