The first three phases of the project were developed by Daniels Corporation, another Toronto-based builder, which is currently building phase 3.

Ritchie said that phases 4 and 5 will include new opportunities to revitalize and replace TCHC rental houses, market value apartments and some public places.

TCHC said in the announcement that Tridel’s plan promises the company to implement a $26.8 million community economic development plan.
