According to CTVNEWS, the house is located on Bowden Street, and when the open house was held this weekend, local resident Jeffery Wood and his friends walked in to see the house, wearing masks as required, keeping their bodies at a distance and providing personal contact information.

But when they went up the stairs to the second floor, they were surprised to see a sign on a door: “Sorry, I’m sick.”

Wood was angry at this: “I think this is extremely irresponsible. There is no hint that a sick person lives in a house.”

On Monday, Wood received a call from the housing agent. Confirm that the people in the house he visited tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Records show that the house is listed under the management of Home One Realty’s broker surnamed Chen King Chen. Mr. Chen confirmed that a tenant who opened a house on Saturday later tested positive for COVID-19.

The agent, who was not on the scene that day, told CTV News in Toronto that they did not know the tenant’s COVID-19 test results at the time. The female tenant was transferred to a hotel late Saturday afternoon and the opening continued on Sunday.

Chen told CTV News in Toronto that the agency did not do any extra cleaning work after the tenants left home.

The Toronto Real Estate Authority (TRREB) said it had been informed of the incident and that the sale of the property had been terminated.

“this incident violates specific public health regulations (including Toronto Public Health; Ontario Department of Health; Canadian Public Health Authority),” they said in a statement. The sale of the house has been terminated. “

“in case of similar incidents, members should immediately notify the public health authorities so that measures can be taken. Members shall assist in any necessary contact tracking and implement other necessary safety measures in accordance with the instructions. “
