Ajax condos . South side apartment building crime doesn’t define a community. Police announced that 18-year-old Kevon Bynum and four others are now in custody.

All of them are charged with a shootout, killing a 30-year-old mother and her 3-month-old baby in Belt Atlantic Apartments last month.

The owners of these apartments say they have done a lot of work locally to prevent crime.

Management said it did not want this latest crime to define its community. NBC12 has reduced the number of people, and the crime rate there has fallen in recent years-at about the same time, a new company stepped in to run the property.

Many people will soon not forget the faces of little Nizia (Neziah) and her mother Chanez Hill (Sharnez Hill), who were killed by innocent bystanders in the shootout.

Now, drivers and people who walk to the property can have controlled access at the site. There are surveillance cameras outside, too. Police commented on the matter on Friday.

“Surveillance video is a key part of solving this crime. We held three people in three hours, a large part of which was due to the analysis of video surveillance, “Captain Rick Edwards said.”

“We are very grateful that it is there and they can use it. This helps to bring these five people to justice. “

He did not want such a major crime to become the norm because he said his residents did not deserve it.

“one of the biggest things we have to do is to hold a monthly residents’ meeting. Ask them for advice on what they want to see. [they should] live in a community where they should live, “Snowd said.

Mother and son will have a rest on Saturday. The funeral is scheduled to be held at 11:00 at the United Nations Church in South Richmond.
