The Toronto Real Estate Bureau (TRREB) said the average transaction price in the Greater Toronto area was 968318 yuan in October, up 13.7 percent from 851877 yuan in the same period last year.
The hottest sellers in GTA in October were detached and semi-detached houses, up 33.9 per cent and 32.1 per cent respectively from a year earlier; town houses rose 32.6 per cent; and trading volume of condo, which has been selling well, rose only 2.2 per cent.
According to the monthly report of the Real Estate Bureau, the price of all kinds of houses rose to $986 million in October, compared with $851 million in the same period last year, a net increase of 110000, or 13.7%, slightly lower than the 14% increase in September. This is the fourth consecutive month of double-digit house price increases in the GTA area, with an average price of $943 in July, with a net increase of more than 130000 in a year, up 16.3% from a year earlier, and an average price of $951 in August, a net increase of nearly 160000, or 20.1%. September was $960,772, up 14%.
The Toronto Real Estate Bureau said the average property price in October was 1025925 yuan, up 10.89% from 925148 yuan in the same period last year, while transaction volume rose 7.04% to 3514 cases, compared with 3283 cases in the same period last year. The semi-detached house market was the hottest, with turnover rising 29.6% in October, with the average transaction price rising 4.8% to 1154087 yuan, while the average transaction price of detached houses rose 11.2% to 1470857 yuan.
The average property price in October was 939600 yuan, up 16.68% from 805278 yuan in the same period last year, while the transaction volume rose 36.56% to 7049 cases, compared with 5162 cases in the same period last year. Among them, the price of independent house was 1123886 yuan, up 18.0%, the price of semi-independent house was 796557 yuan, up 15.4%, the price of town house was 725079 yuan, up 13.5%, and the price of apartment was 541582 yuan, up 6.8%.
South Simcoe County performed best by region, with the HPI index rising 20.15% annually, followed by the Durham district, 18.16%, and Toronto, with an annual increase of 7.18%.
