The shopping mall, located at 2499 Victoria Park Avenue, Scarborough, currently has tenants, including Tim Hortons, Wendy’s, Sleep Country and King George’s Arms stores.
The developer SmartCentres has applied for conversion into an 11-storey apartment building and a residential development with a two-storey town house. It is estimated that the 1.25ha site will provide 354 residential units, 177parking spaces and 271bicycle parking spaces upon completion.
According to the information on the application for conversion, SmartCentres developed in partnership with 401-Victoria Park Development and met with District 22 City Council member Jim Karygiannis and District 17 City Council member Shelley Carroll before submitting the application.
The development also includes more than 5500 square feet of retail floor space.
