The comments will contribute to the review of the regional official plan to guide land use decisions in the community to meet the needs of current and future residents and businesses.
Gary Carl (Gary Carr), president of the Holden region, said: “from new homes to transport networks and businesses, we plan to achieve mandatory growth as more residents and businesses choose to make Holden their home.” “by seeking public feedback on the state of our community in 10, 20 or 30 years, we can ensure that planning decisions maintain our high quality of life and make Halton a good place for future generations to live.”
The region’s growth plan requires that Haldon plans to accommodate 1.1 million people, 500000 jobs. 2051 Haldon’s regional official planning review will ensure that it is aligned with provincial policies and remains responsive to changing social, economic, environmental and demographic conditions.
Residents and stakeholders can provide a high level of feedback on the concept of growth and the factors that guide regional growth.
Community members will listen to speeches from planners on the concept of growth, participate in interactive opinion polls and participate in question-and-answer sessions. More information about virtual public information centers will be available on websites in the region in the coming weeks.
Residents are encouraged to check the area’s website regularly for upcoming virtual PIC lists and other opportunities to provide feedback.
