RioCan Leaside Centre

RioCan Leaside Centre will consist of nine buildings with a total of 1,435 mixed condo units. A mixed-use community with Institutional, Office, Public Space, Residential and Retail on the southeast corner of Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive in Leaside.

Other than that, many recreation facilities are close by such as Ontario Science Centre, East York Community Recreation Centre and Toronto Public Library – Leaside Branch.

Transportation

The development has a good transportation. The stop of the bus routes serve within the city is just outside the condo. Nearby Eglinton Subway Station and Lawrence Subway Station, allowing easy access to downtown Toronto in less than 20-minute. Also, living close to the upcoming Laird Station, which will serve the Eglinton Crosstown LRT when it’s up and running in 2022.

Education

Many schools close by the condos such as Northlea Elementary and Middle School, Thorncliffe Park Public School, and Bessborough Drive Elementary and Middle School.

Outdoor

The community is nearby many beautiful parks such as Serena Gundy Park, Leonard Lawton Park and Trace Manes Park. Also, Sunnybrook is just a quick walk to the east, a sprawling greenspace that spans almost 150 acres and features tree canopies, hiking and dog-walking trails, even a horseback riding stable.

RioCan Leaside Centre is going to take up an entire city block, and it will include everything you could want in a new community. It’s going to have private amenity space, parks, shopping, and more.

A proposed 9 mixed-used buildings designed by BDP Quadrangle on the southeast corner of Eglinton Avenue East and Laird Drive in Leaside. The community will contain Institutional, Office, Public Space, Residential and Retail. As proposed. there will be a total of 1,435 new residential units, units are mix of one-bedroom to three-bedroom layouts.

As expected, plenty of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces are planned. One of the most exciting prospects is the new community centre. The 7,550 square feet building will be a great meeting place for the residents.
