Which cities in Canada have the most expensive rents now? Recently, Zumper released a list of the most expensive cities in China. Among the top 10 cities with the most expensive rents, none of the provinces is on the list! According to the list, the top five cities with the most expensive rents in the country are Vancouver, Toronto, Bennabi, Victoria and Barry. The most expensive rent: Vancouver.

Although home sales in the Vancouver area are turning cold, rents are still rising. In May, Vancouver’s one-bedroom rent rose 1.8% from the previous month to $2240 a month, two-bedroom rent rose 5.1% to $3300 a month, and two-bedroom rent increased by 20% compared with the same period last year! The second most expensive rent: Toronto.

The rent for an one-bedroom house here is also up to $250000 a month, while the rent for a two-bedroom house is up 3.1% from last month to $2630 a month. -.

The third most expensive rent: Bennaby.

Although the rent for one house in this area fell by 4.9% last month, it is still as high as $1960 a month! Two-bedroom rents rose 0.8% to $2610 a month. The fourth most expensive rent: Victoria.

House prices and rents have skyrocketed in the past 12 months, with one-bedroom rents rising to $1840 a month and second-home rents to $2500 a month, up more than 20% from a year ago! The fifth most expensive rent: Barry.

Bari is a city 80 kilometers north of Toronto. Its population has exploded in the past few years, and now it has reached 200000. The rapid growth of population has led to a sharp increase in rents in the city, with one-bedroom rents rising 4.8% to $1760 a month in May and two-bedroom rents averaging $1940 a month.

Among the top 10 cities with the most expensive rents, there is not much difference in rents from 6th to 10th, with Kelowna in B.C., and 7th to 10th, all from Ontario, Oshawa, Kitchener, Ottawa and Kingston. The average rent for each city can be seen in the following table:

At present, rents in most cities in Canada are on the rise. Where is the fastest rise? Based on the rent data for May:

The monthly rent in Windsor, Ontario, has increased by 5%. The average rent in the city is $11,270, ranking 18th in the country.
