1 William Street Brisbane
The project comprises the construction of a 43 storey commercial building—the tallest commercial building in Brisbane and the first of the iconic Queen’s Wharf development. The development includes 43 levels of A-grade commercial building space with Premium services, offering approximately 75,000sqm and is the primary home of Queensland Government and public servant service. Our team was engaged by Fredon (the electrical D&C contractor) to carry out design reviews, provide engineering advice and electrical Green Star documentation. This included generator configuration and mechanical ventilation strategy, switchboard and cabling configurations, maximum demand calculations, and general and emergency lighting.
100 Pier 4
The building’s iconic structure composed of white precast panels, polished granite and metal create a dynamic sculptural form that optimizes the constrained site. The project’s proximity to Boston Harbor prompted the team to create a resilient building. The first floor was elevated above the 100-year flood level and the design safeguards critical mechanical and electrical systems by locating them above the ground floor.
Apartment layouts maximize the views of downtown Boston and the Harbor, while resort-style amenities—a rooftop outdoor pool with fire pit and dining area, a lounge with full kitchen, a screening room, a conference room, and intimate lounges—attract residents from across generations. All in all, 100 Pier 4 is an icon on Boston’s waterfront, introducing sustainable luxury housing, conveniently located amidst the city’s newest cultural venues and dining experiences in the Seaport District.
