The Clair Residences, located at 1421 Yonge Street in Toronto, is a new condo project by Great Gulf and Terracap. This new condo project, which is still in the works with the city of Toronto, proposes a 34-story condominium tower to be built on the site. The Clair Residences will include 198 units ranging in size up to 3,000 square feet.

The Clair is the epitome of artful living, bounded to the south by the prestigious neighbourhoods of Summerhill and Rosedale, to the north by Yonge and Eglinton, and intersected by a network of parks and trails.

Hariri Pontarini Architects designed “terraces in the sky” with views of the area’s network of parks and trails and the city skyline, as well as enormous wrap-around balconies that blur the lines between indoors and outdoors.

The Clair Residences is a new condo complex by Great Gulf and Terracap that is currently under construction at 1421 Yonge Street in Toronto.

This project is still in the planning and pre-development stages, and specifics are only just starting to surface. However, the project calls for 198 residential units in the tower, with a mixed-use base platform on the bottom level. Two-thirds of the proposed units will be one-bedrooms, with the other third being two-bedrooms. The occupancy date for this midtown Toronto apartment is tentatively set for 2023.

The award-winning Hariri Pontarini Architects team designed the structure, which has a magnificent glass tower with a green roof and a lovely community terrace area. This area will be ideal for hosting outdoor gatherings with friends and family or simply sunbathing on a wonderful summer day.

Individual units will have their access to fresh air and vistas, with huge wrap-around balconies creating “terraces in the sky,” as they describe it.
