The Shore in North Vancouver, as a world-class pioneer in sustainability, with direct access to the Trans Canada Trail and a dynamic Piazza, mixes together contemporary West Coast architecture in the most idyllic environment on Earth.
The Shore is a multi-building residential complex situated in North Vancouver, only a few blocks from the coast. The project involves the construction of five and six-story wood-frame buildings over a single-story concrete parking structure. When the fourth building is completed in 2017, the complex will have a total of 359 residential units.
Numerous units provide expansive balconies or roof terraces overlooking Burrard Inlet or the North Shore Mountains. Additionally, the property has a fitness center, a hot tub, a bar, and a yoga studio.
The six communities of the Marine Drive region in North Vancouver are bounded on the south by the Burrard Inlet and Welch Street, on the west by McGuire Avenue and Glenaire Drive, on the north by Highway 1 and the Trans Canada Highway, and on the east by Bewicke Avenue and Larson Road.
All six of these North Shore communities are located near Marine Drive, a major east-west thoroughfare that connects Highway 1, the Lions Gate Bridge, and Grouse Mountain. BC Transit operates regular buses along Marine Drive, connecting passengers to Seabus terminals at Lonsdale Quay, West Vancouver, and downtown Vancouver.
North Vancouver’s Marine Drive neighborhood are in School District 44. Parents may choose from a wide selection of public and private educational establishments. Westview Elementary, Norgate Community Elementary (K-7) and Capilano Elementary (IB) all have grades K-7. With classes 8 to 12, St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Catholic School and Carson Graham Secondary are the only high schools in town.
North Vancouver’s Capilano Mall on Marine has been a fixture for almost 50 years. Walmart, Starbucks, and a government liquor store occupy nearly 400,000 square feet. Save-On-Foods, one of BC’s biggest and longest-running grocery businesses, is located in the newly renovated Pemberton Plaza. The Grant Connell Tennis Centre is a year-round Tennis Canada Development Centre. The Burrard Yacht Club on the Hamilton riverfront offers reasonable moorage, group socials, and a renowned junior program.
Those who like dining al fresco should take note of the rooftop lanais and patios, which may be outfitted with optional outdoor kitchens — a full-on cooking center with a barbeque, refrigerator, and storage – as well as the rooftop pool.
In fact, the Shore is painstakingly planned to handle big-scale partying just as readily as a romantic meal for two or a quiet movie night with a flute of champagne and a huge bowl of popcorn – because yes, it is true that champagne goes with everything.
As one of BC’s leading multi-disciplinary real estate organizations and 50 years of experience, Adera has built a world-class portfolio that includes the development of more than 10,000 homes, townhomes, condos, and over 4 million square feet of commercial space.
