On June 5, North American time, CBRE CBRE released the 2020 Global Life report, which makes a comprehensive comparison and interpretation of the data and development trends of the housing market in 39 key cities around the world in 2019.
According to the report, the top 10 cities in global housing prices in 2019 are Hong Kong, Munich, Singapore, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing (downtown), Vancouver, Los Angeles, Paris and New York. Half of the top ten cities are in Asia.
According to the report, the average price of residential units in Hong Kong is $1.2544 million (about 8.926 million yuan), ranking first in the world. The second and third cities were Munich and Singapore, with average prices of $1 million (7.1158 million yuan) and $915600 (6.5152 million yuan), respectively.
The average price of residential apartments in Shanghai, Shenzhen and Beijing is $905800 (6.4455 million yuan), $783900 (5.5781 million yuan) and $763500 (5.4329 million yuan), respectively, ranking fourth, fifth and sixth in the world.
The last four of the top ten are Vancouver, Canada, Los Angeles, Paris, France and New York.
The survey results show that housing prices have risen in 31 of the 39 cities, but the average increase is only about half of the previous year’s level. The report pointed out that the general slowdown in price growth also reflects, to a certain extent, the gradual stabilization of the property market after the implementation of various cooling measures, and the excessive rise in house prices has been effectively curbed.
