The Entertainment District is home to the first Nobu-branded condominium residences in the world, complete with a restaurant and hotel. If this new condo’s name seems familiar, it’s probably because you’re familiar with the New York-based celebrity dining hotspot that has since extended to premium cities such as Miami, Los Angeles, Milan, and Tokyo. For their first foray in Canada, it seems sense that they would choose a prime location in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District at 15 Mercer Street.
In addition to being home to a luxury condominium, the Entertainment District provides a variety of reasons to come. When you stay at 15 Mercer, some of the city’s finest restaurants, bars, and nightclubs will be within walking distance. This bustling, young area has something for everyone, whether you want a raucous bar, drinks on a fancy rooftop terrace, a top-secret subterranean speakeasy, or the trendiest brunch restaurant.
The area is well-served by three streetcar lines that operate 24 hours a day, making it easy to reach the rest of the city if required. 15 Mercer is a short distance from the St. Andrew subway station and Union Station, which provides connections to the TTC, the GO rail system, and the Union Pearson Express, which takes twenty minutes to reach the airport.
The closeness of the development to elementary and secondary schools, such as Keystone School, Market Lane Junior and Senior Public School, and Lord Dufferin Junior and Senior Public School, increases the area’s attractiveness, particularly among families with children. In contrast, postsecondary students will live within minutes of Ryerson, George Brown, the University of Toronto, and OCAD, making it a great off-campus living choice.
