Monahan Landing

Between Eagleson Road and Old Richmond Road, Monahan Landing is located in south Kanata, north of Hope Side Road. Monahan Landing has a wide range of amenities both on-site and nearby.

Monahan Landing, located just south of Bridlewood, expands Meadowbreeze Park to the south while also adding two new community-wide parks. The community’s Master Plan also includes provisions for the preservation of the woodlot in the northeast corner.

Shopping and Dining

The city offers you the best neighborhoods to explore and new foods to try. If you are foodie, there are lots of must-try restaurants that you can visit like Fratelli’s, Pure Kitchen, Central Bierhaus, Crazyhorse or Hockey Sushi.

For shoppers, the Tanger Outlets are a major attraction in Kanata. Fashion, fitness, home furnishings, food, and more are all available! Kanata Centrum is also the main hub of Kanata. Here, there are also numerous groceries and specialty stores, such as Golf Town and Best Buy. Lastly, tasty artisan beer, delicious local food, and one-of-a-kind shopping experiences await you in charming neighborhoods.

Education

Ottawa has many established schools for all ages, including the University of Ottawa. Additionally, W.O. Mitchell Elementary School, Roch Carrier Elementary School, Elisabeth Bruyere Catholic Elementary School, St. James Catholic School, St. Anne Catholic Elementary School, AY Jackson Secondary School, and Holy Trinity Catholic High School are among the elementary and secondary schools that serve these neighborhoods.

Outdoor

Residents at Monahan Landing will get a sense of open space while still being part of the city. The Stoney Swamp Conservation Area and the Monahan Wetlands, which are located to the east and west of the site, will appeal to nature lovers.

Meadowbreeze Park, on one side of the project, is expected to be extended, while Crown Ridge Park, a new park within the development, is also planned.

Ottawa is not only the nation’s capital, but it’s also the ideal location for seeing some of Canada’s top attractions, entertainment, and natural wonders. Take a tour of the historic Parliament Hill buildings, visit one of the seven national museums, or skate along the Rideau Canal.

Transportation

The position in Kanata South, just five minutes from the Queensway (Highway 417), gives a convenient commute to downtown and direct access to the Trans Canada Trail. Also, the City of Ottawa is happy to welcome commuters to begin using all lanes of traffic along the Kanata South Link.

The City was able to relax peak hour traffic restrictions, lengthen work hours, and allow greater flexibility to complete the Kanata South Link project due to lower traffic volumes. This was a crucial factor in the project’s completion ahead of schedule.
